Christian Almiron is a Filipino-American Composer, Music Director, Pianist and Producer. He is working both in Film and TV as well as producing songs for artists and other media including Trailers and Advertising for global brands and studios including Warner Bros, Universal Studios, HBO, ESPN, Papa Johns, JetBlue and Google. Christian also continues to record and tour as a professional musician and music director. Whether it’s scoring a movie, producing a track, leading a band or being on-set, Christian’s versatility has made him a valuable collaborator and talent. Most Recently, Christian composed the score for the documentary “And So It Begins” from acclaimed filipino director Ramona Diaz which premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and scheduled to broadcast with PBS next year. He is currently working with Pharrell Williams on the Universal Studios movie “Atlantis” directed by Academy Award director Michel Gondry . Christian is presently the Music Director for Grammy, Emmy, and 2x Tony Award winner Billy Porter. Other notable credits include the Warner Bros. Animation feature “Urkel Saves Santa”: The Movie. Christian also wrote additional music for the documentary “Space Race” by Academy Award producer Lisa Cortes now streaming on Hulu and Disney Plus. In addition, Christian provided music for the trailer “Redfall” by Bethesda Studios. In addition to composing with many global brands, he has composed commercials that aired during The 2021 World Series and The 2022 US Open. As a musician Christian has toured around the world and played at fabled venues and festivals including The Blue Note , Madison Square Garden, Lalapalooza and Global Citizen. He has recorded, collaborated and played with multi-Grammy winners like Lalah Hathaway, Marcus Miller, Cory Henry, Lauryn Hill, Me’shell Ndegeocello, Joey Bada$$, Mark Ronsen, and Babyface. Monica Kapoor is an award-winning Director, Choreographer, and Performer whose dynamic career spans Broadway, regional theatre, television, and film. Known for her versatility, she has worked on a wide range of productions, seamlessly blending her creative vision with her deep understanding of storytelling and performance. With Broadway credits and a robust regional theatre career, Monica’s experience informs her work as a director and choreographer, where she combines innovation with a fresh perspective. She holds a master’s degree in education and has shared her expertise as a high school teacher and as faculty at renowned institutions including Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, and Joffrey Ballet. Sarah is a movement artist who has carved her own path between concert dance and musical theater, bringing a new texture to theatrical storytelling. She works as both a performer and a choreographer, and always highlights how those two positions benefit each other. Her aesthetic blends physical athleticism with more pedestrian, gestural movement to portray relatable human beings on stage. Sarah’s skills and interests range from choreography for big dance musicals to movement direction for small, intimate plays. She has a keen eye for the overall vision of a show as well as the intricate details that help a production flow seamlessly. Dynamics, rhythm, improvisation, and character building are all emphasized in her work. As a performer, you can currently see her on Broadway in the new musical HELL’S KITCHEN — with music/lyrics by Alicia Keys, direction by Michael Greif, and choreography by Camille A. Noam Shapiro is a director, producer, and environmental organizer based in New York. He directs plays and musicals about how we respond to crises or change. Noam is the Producing Artistic Director of Three Hares, a company that brings together diverse and international artists to create socially conscious and political theater. He is a winner of Opera America’s Robert L.B. Tobin Director-Designer Prize for his public works production of THE LITTLE PRINCE. Noam is the SDC Harold Prince/Kurt Weill Directing Fellow on the first major revival of LOVE LIFE at Encores! New York City Center. Noam was the 2023 Next Stage Directing Resident at the Drama League where he developed Jose Antonio Vargas’ memoir DEAR AMERICA into an original musical. He is also an alumnus of the Manhattan Theatre Club Directing Fellowship, a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab, a Resident Artist at Access Theater, a Co-Founder of Lyra Theater, an alum of the 24 Hour Plays: Nationals, and an Associate Member of SDC. Noam holds a B.A. in Theater Studies and History from Yale University, where he studied with Hamilton historian Joanne Freeman. Aaron J. Albano hails originally from the West Coast where he began performing professionally at the age of 15 in San Jose, CA. After attending the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), majoring in musical theatre, he made his Broadway debut in the original company of BOMBAY DREAMS. Since then, Aaron has performed in a total of twelve Broadway shows, including HAMILTON, WICKED, A CHORUS LINE, MARY POPPINS, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE (where he closed the production as Chip Tolentino), THE KING AND I, ALLEGIANCE, HERE LIES LOVE, CATS, and most notably, as Finch in the original Broadway company of NEWSIES. Jacob is originally from San Antonio, Texas, where he started dancing on his high school Drill Team and Color Guard, making history as the first boy to ever make those teams at his high school! Jacob is now an NYC based performer who has graduated from the Dance Theater program at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. Since graduating, he has assisted/choreographed with Jennifer Dillow at Broadway Dance Center both in-person and online, he has made his singing debut at The Green Room 42 in the 5th edition of Dancers Who Song, and performed in the Dancers Who Choreograph showcase at Ripley-Grier Studios. Upcoming performances include an industry reading of a new and upcoming musical titled HONEY SHOT MUSICAL , and will be doing a production of WEST SIDE STORY this summer at The Milton Theatre! Alicia Dilone is a Dominican dancer, actor, and singer with over 15 years of experience in Ballet, Modern, Latin, and Jazz. A graduate of AMDA, Alicia has honed her craft in both acting and singing, performing at prestigious venues such as the Youth America Grand Prix, Teatro José Martí in Cuba, Gran Teatro del Cibao in the Dominican Republic, Tarrytown Music Hall, and the AMDA theater. Her artistic journey includes collaborations with renowned choreographers like Yeira Genao, Alfa Rodriguez, Dulce Suriel, Beatrice Howell, Ramon Galindo, Cynthia Murray-Davis, Janine Aloisi, and currently Albert Guerzon and Monica Kapoor. Passionate about creative storytelling and collaboration, Alicia infuses each performance with dedication, fun, and creativity. Ariel Estrada is Webby Award-winning producer, actor, writer, and advocate for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander performing artists and all performing artists of marginalized identity. As an actor, he has performed on television, film, commercials, digital media, and Off-, and Off-Off-Broadway. As a producer, Ariel is the Founder and Executive Artistic Director for Leviathan Lab, a nonprofit creative studio for Asian American performing artists; and a Founding Member of CollaborAzian, an AANHPI producers collective, through which he won a 2022 Webby Award for CollaborAzian’s online fundraising concert of the Tony Award-winning musical A GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, which raised $25K in support of Stop AAPI Hate. As an arts administrator, he is a current Associate Consultant with Benvenuti Arts; the immediate past Marketing & Membership Director for the Consortium of Asian American Theaters and Artists; and sits on the boards of Musical Theatre Factory and the Episcopal Actors’ Guild, and the Advisory Board of Houghton Hall Arts Community. His leadership has been recognized by Theatrical Intimacy Education, artEquity, New York Foundation for the Arts, and Theatre Communications Group. ABOUT LEVIATHAN LAB
Founded in 2009, Leviathan Lab is an award-winning not-for-profit creative studio whose mission is the advancement of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) performing artists and their work. Through the speaking of AANHPI artists’ words, and the presentation of AANHPI bodies, presence, and gestures on stage and film, Leviathan works to open spaces that promote social justice, bridge communities, and assert the power of art to change the world.
